Our AGM has wrapped up, and it brought big changes to the structure behind the scenes at Moville Celtic FC!
While we’re thrilled with the energy in the room, we had hoped for a few more faces on the night. Other volunteer roles are still available, and we warmly welcome anyone who’d like to step forward to help out in any aspect of club life 🙌
Whether it’s coaching, selling a few lotto tickets, or lending a hand at Sports Day, every bit helps. Without volunteers, there is no club. 💚⚽

A massive shoutout to Billy Doherty, who steps down after a brilliant few seasons as Head of Youth. Under Billy’s leadership, the club has grown in teams and players. A role that has been vital to our success.
While he’s stepping back from the committee, Billy’s not going far, he is continuing coaching and mentoring several teams 🟢⚪👏
💔 FAREWELL, DONAL
On a more emotional note, we bid farewell to long-standing committee member Donal Skelly. A huge chapter of the club’s history closed Tuesday night, as Donal officially stepped away after years of dedicated service.
Donal has been a key figure in guiding this new committee into their roles in recent years, always a phone call or text a way to guide us no matter what role, a true testament to his leadership and heart for the club. While he has stepped back from the committee, Donal will continue to coach our U17 Ladies team until their season closes out – and hopefully, we can convince him to stay a little longer! 🙏⚽
A full tribute to Donal’s legacy will follow soon, but for now, we want to say from all of us at Moville Celtic FC:
Thank you, Donal. You will be dearly missed, and your presence will be impossible to replace.
