Our next objective is forming an official fundraising committee.

Like most we’ve been hit hard with the ever increasing cost of living we are all experiencing at the minute.

We have tried our upmost to help families out, and reduce costs where possible.

✨Our registration fees goes directly to the league to cover the cost of putting that age group into the league.

✨Our training fees goes towards our insurance cost and the running of our Astro lights in the winter. Which can be at a cost of upwards of €30 an hour.

✨Our match fees goes directly towards paying for the referee, it also goes towards the cost of running buses. The club then add the remaining costs to make up the extra.

Development plans:

We will be looking at the regeneration of our Astro facilities.

We will also be looking into some maintenance required at both the clubhouse and the Bayfield.

If we can secure another regular source of income through forming a fundraising team, we can then look into other extra steps to reduce the costs on families.

Last year Colleen mc laughlin, Orla Gillen, Leonie Gillen, Orla Laird, Caroline Noone & Theresa McLaughlin. Took on the task of starting to form an official fundraising team. Their first task was a huge success, with the St. Patrick’s day float scoping up a prize for most colourful float.

Going forward we would like to once again ask people of the public to join the WhatsApp group created/ and our group on ClubZap to be kept in the loop of upcoming ideas and to volunteer your time when it suits. The roles will vary from collecting lotto tickets to making tea at events the more people we have on the board the better so no matter if you can only volunteer for an hour we would love to have you on board at our club.
